My husband and I are on a roadtrip from the Northshore New England, we were on our way from our cabin in flagstaff to Grant Canyon, planning on a dinner with friends tonight chatting and laughing before the tires got flattened (or exploded…I’m not sure)
This couple passed us and stopped, asking us if we needed help. My husband said thank you but I think I’m gonna try to handle it.
They circled back and checked on us again. While the gentleman helping us out, the lady pulled out a trash bag and started picking up the garbage from the side of the road.
(While I was in the car to manage my fearful reactive dog 😂)
Maybe because of hormone shifts getting close to my period, I teared up a little bit and thought to myself, despite everything that makes the world a shitty crazy place, people are people.
If you know these people, you probably had the privilege to learn more about how great they are. Please express our sincere gratitude again for being who they are.
And that, people like them, is what makes America great. 🇺🇸
