Hi! Just thought I’d try this strategy as a fun way to get to know some new people.
You don’t actually have to send me a piece of fiction as an intro, but I would be delighted if you do (and I’ll send a snippet back) or just share a title you’ve read and enjoyed! I don’t have any friends who happen to share an interest in creative writing, so I thought I would come look for any people who want to bond over the hobby. If reading and writing isn’t your thing but you just think we’d gel, send me an intro about yourself and let’s chat!
More generally, to spitball about myself: I’m on a gap year before law school right now, have a side gig as an LSAT tutor, have an undergrad background in sociology, I enjoy philosophy and politics, debate, I like cooking and new recipes, I do some digital art (procreate), I like urban exploration and transit. I enjoy literary fiction, sci-fi fantasy, historical fiction, political fiction, short stories. Not sure what else to mention here, but I opened my Reddit history so you can browse it if you’d like to stalk a little before deciding to message. If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask, I’m an open book!
I’d like to text via ideally Discord (am down for voice calls too), but I can also do Instagram or stay here on Reddit.
Don’t really care about age range as long as we have stuff in common to talk about.
My time zone is mountain time right now (UTC-6), but I’m moving to Toronto (UTC-4) in a couple of months. I’m mainly expecting to find online connections here but, on the off-chance someone reading this is from there, it would be really cool to find some in-person GTA friends in advance too!
