Just installed some ambient lighting from Alibaba. The whole kit cost $132, and with shipping and tax, it was about $203. Shipping was $55 from China, and sales tax was $12.03.
The whole kit is plug and play. The main module uses the infotainment power, and the doors use the switch panel for power. No splicing is needed, so if needed, I can remove them and go back to stock pretty easily.
The kit also came with dash lights and door lights that replace the thin black strips, but I decided to not install them because the lights were a white color when off, and the black strips on the doors are welded on the door panel. I also did not install the door handle lights for now because I'd have to drill a hole. It also came with lights that go under around sunglasses holder area, and one that replaces the fake air vent insert on the passenger side. Didn't install them because I think those are kinda silly.
This whole thing took about 7 hours to install, and about 1-2 hours of that time was figuring out how to get the lights to turn on.
The lights are on full brightness, just for the pictures.
It also can turn the door lights a different color when the door is open, which is pretty cool.
