Since A.N.T. Farm turned 15 this week, I’ve been seeing it pop up again, so I figured I’d ask.

For me, it’s okay. Nothing I’d say was a favorite Disney Channel show, but it wasn’t bad either. I mostly watched it for China Anne McClain — she was really the standout and the main reason I kept tuning in. Without her, I probably wouldn’t have been as interested.

Curious what everyone else thinks now looking back on it.

I’ve been rewatching High School Musical and I keep changing my mind about Sharpay.

She’s definitely extra and very “main character energy” all the time, and yeah she does way too much trying to keep Troy and Gabriella out of her way.

But at the same time, she’s not lazy or anything. She’s actually really talented and clearly puts in work. She’s always rehearsing, performing, staying ready. It’s not like she’s just getting things handed to her.

I think what makes her kind of interesting is she also seems really insecure underneath all of it. Like she’s used to being the star, so the second that changes, she doesn’t handle it well at all.

I used to just see her as the annoying mean girl, but now I don’t really think it’s that simple. She’s kind of a mix of selfish, driven, and honestly a little insecure too.

Not sure where I land on her overall, but she’s way more interesting than I used to think.
