I returned the Crown Vintage DSW Boots. Are the Thursday Boots good for beginners? Everyday Casual / Going Out.

Hi, recently posted about the Crown Vintage boots and was told to find something better that'll last me and to increase my budget. After looking around. I decided that since I bought a crap ton of jeans recently and a whole new wardrobe since I went from 260lbs to just under 160lbs and a 42 Waist to a 31/32 Waist I'll make the jump into boots.

I've grown fond of the Thursday Boot Co "Hero, Heritage Captain with Lug Soles, President" and I've also really liked the Red Wing "Iron Ranger, Beckman"

What other suggestions are out there.

Is there a place that has used boots? Is that weird? I like patina looks in some already. I'm in Orange County, CA. Not sure what is around here. I haven't been able to go to the Red Wing store near me, I tried boot barn and stuff but wasn't really impressed.

Thanks!

New to Boots, few questions.

*edit - open to suggestions in the $150 Each range, would want a tan brown, and black”

I went to DSW and I liked the design of the the Crown Vintage Cabastian.

Never had a pair of boots before and I mainly wear athletic wear but lately I’ve been in Jeans / Slacks and Polos and Nice Tees.

Tried these on and I love them, however. Friends said the brand is Trash and to try Doc Martens.

Have suggestions for something better with the same style?

I mainly plan on wearing them daily with 514 Levis or other Straight Fitted Jeans. No slim fit here, thighs and calves say no.

Just some jeans, a nice fitted t-shirt, and that’s mainly it.

Suggestions please.

I got them in Black and Brown, DSW had them for $60 off spend $200. 3 pairs “2 boots and sneakers” for $150
