I just recently cut my hair. Being broke-de-broke, I did it myself. It's not terrible, could have certainly gone way worse for my first time, but I am feeling a little awkward. Sort of giving a cross between a mushroom and Lord Farquaad... Anyway, I have fine hair (obvi) as well as very oily roots but a dry scalp. I chose to focus on fixing the dry scalp first because it was itchy and flaky and just not fun to deal with. I found a shampoo that works wonders for dry scalp (VICHY Decros Anti-Dandruff Shampoo - they also sell a conditioner but I don't use it) but now I am trying to find something to target the oiliness, which my current shampoo doesn't do. It's oily enough that it is visibly icky looking after a day and I can't go more than two days without washing, otherwise it literally looks wet.

All that being said, is there a shampoo that I could use in conjunction with my anti-dandruff stuff? I like to double cleanse anyway, so another shampoo could be helpful. I use an apple cider vinegar conditioner from Aveeno that has been really great for my ends so I think I'll continue using that, unless there are better options. I also would like to style my hair more. I have a bad habit of just throwing it in a ponytail then complaining that my hair is ugly. I know constant up-dos could be contributing to the oiliness so I want want to fix that but my hair often just does not sit right. Volumizing mousses work for the ends of my hair but the roots are still quite limp hence the recent mushroom head situation. A lot of the mousses I have tried have left my hair feeling sticky or greasy. I am down to try texturizing sprays, mousses, dry shampoos, anything to give my hair more life.

For reference, I have straight hair. It's a teensy bit wavy underneath but everything on top sits pretty straight.
