Hi everyone, I’m an international student from India planning CS in Germany and want honest advice from people already there. My plan is:
- Do a private English-taught BSc in Computer Science in Germany
- Then apply for a public German university Master’s (CS / Cybersecurity / AI)
I’m considering these private universities:
- Hochschule Fresenius (BSc Computer Science)
- SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg (BSc Computer Science)
- IU International University of Applied Sciences (BSc Computer Science)
I want honest answers on:
- Is the private Bachelor → public Master route in Germany actually realistic?
- Do public universities in Germany accept private bachelor graduates normally, or is it harder?
- Among the above 3, which is best for:
- CS fundamentals (math, algorithms, systems)
- Master’s eligibility later
- Do German universities/employers look down on private universities, or does it not matter if grades + courses are strong?
- Any major risks or mistakes in this plan I should know before committing?
