Hi everyone, I’m an international student from India planning CS in Germany and want honest advice from people already there. My plan is:

  • Do a private English-taught BSc in Computer Science in Germany
  • Then apply for a public German university Master’s (CS / Cybersecurity / AI)

I’m considering these private universities:

  • Hochschule Fresenius (BSc Computer Science)
  • SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg (BSc Computer Science)
  • IU International University of Applied Sciences (BSc Computer Science)

I want honest answers on:

  • Is the private Bachelor → public Master route in Germany actually realistic?
  • Do public universities in Germany accept private bachelor graduates normally, or is it harder?
  • Among the above 3, which is best for:
    • CS fundamentals (math, algorithms, systems)
    • Master’s eligibility later
  • Do German universities/employers look down on private universities, or does it not matter if grades + courses are strong?
  • Any major risks or mistakes in this plan I should know before committing?
