Me at the Whaley House
The Whaley House; in San Diego, California; was built on top of the site of the town’s old gallows. It is said to be haunted by many ghosts; and multiple deaths occurred in the house after it was built. One of the most tragic was the suicide of Violet Whaley; Thomas and Anna Whaley’s daughter. She had recently found out that the man she married was a conman, simply hoping to gain some of the Whaleys’ fortune by wedding her. Depressed, Violet shot herself in the chest with her father’s rifle inside of their outhouse. At only 22 years old; she died after her parents heard the gun discharge, found her, and carried her into the parlor; where she would suffer approximately 20 agonizing minutes, before finally passing away. Her suicide note was a quote from a Thomas Hood poem: “Mad from life's history, swift to death's mystery; glad to be hurled, anywhere, anywhere, out of this world.”
Here is footage of me seemingly speaking to her spirit; it was my first time using dousing rods, so I can’t guarantee it wasn’t me accidentally crossing them (of course I tried to avoid doing so); but the motion-activated music box was going wild as well, while nobody was crossing the sensor. Please pardon my voice being so annoying, and my father talking while taking the video! Thoughts?
