I’m not quite sure if this is the right sub or not, but I figured that I’d ask anyways

I want to turn thin (~1/8”) tin bronze ingots into sheets to use in Roman style lorica segmentata armor for renfest. I don’t have a roller, but I wanted to ask how hard is it to hammer bronze into sheets?

Also, should I hammer it hot like iron or cold and anneal?

I want to make an ornamental saber sword out of aluminum bronze over the summer, but I have a few questions regarding it

1. The greensand in my casting box always falls out when I take the wooden forms out. How can I prevent this?

2. What is the white powder used in YouTube videos between the two halves of the casting box?

3. Any other suggestions or advice?
