So we all know this month is Throwback Rotation of Ultimate Colosseum (UCL), which is also the very first throwback that this game had, way back 2 years ago. Having joined the game in WUP/FOH, I was enthusiastic back then to try out a meta just before I joined the game, but it felt so horrible when I actually tried it. The meta especially with the combination of Leod Ambush Sword and other decks felt absurdly horrible, since it felt like an uninteractive meta, only with lesser answers due to draw power limitations. So, this time I obviously did not want to play rotation, but that leads into playing unlimited which I would say is atleast as bad with meta due to Soultaker especially, with the only improvement with speed.

I am there on SV discord and a fellow friend got GM0 with wrath blood within a few days. But I tried both wrath blood, and then later Departed Soultaker, and failed miserably with them despite even having previously gotten gm0 with it multiple times and even making a previous video with it. So, this time I am tried out Resonance Portal for the first time in UL, and it worked great.

Decklist - So the pic shown above is almost the stock list taken from youtube, as discussed even on Discord server. The only change I made is cutting down Ameth to 2, and putting 2x of Fiery Barrage as tech. Fiery Barrage can be transmuted in resonance to get a barrier and do 2 face damage which is essential against decks like Hozumi, and even works wonders vs soultaker often, while the normal fiery barrage spell does great vs targets that need to be silenced, though they must be targetable like Defense Armed dragon, or Victorious Blader etc. The deck plan I have discussed in two videos that I made about climbing with the deck and then reaching GM0 with it. The plan is simple - get 5 evos early with combinations of Vyrn + Blossoming Dancer + Robopup, and then storm with Alice at 5 evos, The final damage comes from 1pp Radiant Artifacts put into deck by Lazuli, and Yuwan to do damage at 10 resonance. This can be done by t5-6 normally, and can even be done by t4 if you draw the 1x of Acceleratium.

Mulligan - Keep 1x of Vyrn, Cassim. I always keep 1x of Robopup since there are 6 generators of Spinaria's arti in deck. Biofab can also be kept if you exactly also have spinaria arti generator with robopup since you can snowball starting t1. Blossoming Dancer is a combo keep with Vyrn. Fiery Barrage is a keep vs Hozumi, and perhaps vs Armed Dragon too.

Matchups - Favoured vs Soultaker since you can snowball early with Vyrn. Very favoured vs Wrath Blood also due to same snowball. 50-50 vs Despair Sword and here it feels way better to go 2nd to get 2 turns with evolve since that allows to push more damage with Alice. Here, try to get Cassim + multiple Yuwan turn to finish the game. Slightly unfavoured vs Dshift if you do not get early cards. HIghly favoured vs Hozumi since transmuted spell completely counters them and they need 2x Hozumi turns, so they almost always auto concede soon after the spell is played.

So, for those that are struggling with this meta in rotation, and want to get the sleeve before the game ends permanently, please try out this deck. Its fun to play as you can see from the two videos I had, and it can get you to gm0 within even 1-2 days since the deck is quite fast and imo has roughly better than 50% wr either going 1st or 2nd.
