When do you start losing muscle?

When do you start to notice you are losing muscle visually?

Been pretty consistent on eating and lifting.

Say you’re on vacation and not working out for a week to two weeks, eating whatever you like, and/or not eating enough calories/protein in the day.
Walking 15-20k steps a day. A lot of calories burned.

Will you start to lose muscle on day 7?

I know muscle can be gained back in about half the time.

6’1 200lbs 29 years old Male. Lift 5x week.

I tend to eat healthy 4 days out of the week. Counting macros and in deficit about 1800 net calories those days.

On weekends, I’m tired of eating. I find myself eating less like maybe one real meal and then just protein shakes and yogurt.

Also, on these weekend days, sometimes eating out and drinking could add to calorie surplus but still only one meal.

Question is if I eat well 4 days, hitting macros, and 2 days on weekend of NOT really eating much, staying in bigger deficit like 1500 calories then have a surplus one day out of the week from alc, am I losing muscle mass? Or does this all just cancel out?

First full year working out. Been doing PPL 5x weekly. My 2nd push day and 2nd pull day is the same aside from day A lat pulldown and day B pull up. But both push days remains the same.

Push: 2 chest 2 tricep 2 shoulder:

Chest: Smith incline press, cable high low flies
Tricep: Tricep cable pushdown, OH cable tricep extension
Shoulder: Cable lat raises, cable upright rows

Pull: Day A Lat pulldown, day B Pull Up
Cable rows
Cable Face pull
Preacher Curl
DB Hammer Curl

Then repeat hitting all 2x weekly.

Do I need to add Day A and B with different exercises? What if I don’t and continue with this? Since it’s been working well for me, though IDK the long term affects.

Can add dips on day B, though what should I swap this out with?

I always believed that people on steroids have to work equally as hard as us natural lifters. Though their recovery time is quicker and that they build bigger muscle mass. Nutrition too has to be on point.

What are your thoughts on people using steroids? Is it a cheat code? A hack? Or do they deserve the same praise as someone who is natural?
