I recently finished my PhD working with EEG and brain data, and I’ve noticed that many people struggle when starting EEG, but often not for the reasons they expect.
It’s usually not the coding itself, but understanding what each step actually does (filtering, artifact removal, referencing, etc.).
I’m curious:
👉 What was the most confusing or difficult part for you when learning EEG analysis?
Was it:
understanding the signal itself
preprocessing steps
tools (EEGLAB, MNE, etc.)
statistics / interpretation
