I am soon going to be able to be in a position to buy a new Mac.

I want to run a local LLM for some game addons I use for Elite:Dangerous (COVAS:Next and EDCopilot) that help me automate the game and provide live feedback along with some more development uses.

I'm also a music producer and use Logic/Cubase for production and the tracks get quite large.

The thing is, I can't decide between an M4Pro Mac mini with 64Gb of RAM or a Mac Studio M4Max on 36Gb of RAM both options with 1Tb of local storage as I have a NAS.

Price wise they are so similar.

Or wait and see what the M5 variants come out as price wise.

Thoughts?
