Is it rude to say “I need the toilet”?

I’m from the UK. So if I need the toilet I’ll say “I need the toilet” or more commonly “loo”. We were in America recently, and i only heard “restroom” or “potty”. I felt rude asking “where are the toilets?” Is it rude, or is it just not common parlance?

Hello, me again

Ordered some glasses from glasses direct. They all look quite wide in the photos, I don’t feel like they look as wide when I’m looking in the mirror. Selfie distortion? They are all classed as “small” frames.

The first pair I was thinking of getting with grey transitions lenses.

The last pair is my current front runner from the last batch I tried.

Opinions gratefully received, although not about my eyebrows, which are my natural eyebrows and this is just the way they are!
