Yiling Patriarch/Yiling Laozu fic recs wanted!
I really, REALLY like the whole Yiling laozu era and have the fattest crush on the whole cool and edgy BAMF vibe Wei Ying has during it. My heart aches at the tragedy of his eventual fate, so I’d like to read fanfics where he doesn’t have to end by getting ripped to shreds by his own corpses and instead he and lan Wangji figure it out somehow and get to be happy together before he has to die! I don’t mind if it’s a fic in the war time fresh out of his first time in burial mounds, in the time between before wwx found the Wen’s, or burial mounds era, I just want it to be Yiling patriarch!
I have a personal dislike for fics that give wwx excessive self esteem issues (I’m of the belief that wwx is really confident—just has a massive hero complex that gives him self sacrificial tendencies) so no whump fics pls—though I can appreciate a fic that discusses the issues wwx might face now that he’s lacking a golden core. I just don’t want him seeing himself inadequate for the sake of it or because he’s a ‘servants son’ when that’s not really an issue in the novel.
Also no submissive lwj😅 I really like the whole wangxian dynamic of wwx being able to be spoiled and feel supported when w lwj—esp when his Yiling patriarch era is arguably when he was lacking support the most. On that note, I also would love any fics that explore the Yiling family, I think it’s really cute how the wens and wwx made a little community for themselves! Sorry if this is really picky, but I hope I can find some good recs, thank you guys in advance!
