I went through one prescription, I thought I was getting better and then a day later it got bad again. My dr prescribed a second round, but now it’s like I never even had the first prescription - I have horrible cramping all day and night and am constantly in the bathroom.

I’m now on day 4 of the second prescription but it’s not working. I have Crohn’s too.

I’m curious what the dr will say about what to do when I finish these pills, there’s no way I’ll be cured in 6 days.

I just finished 10 days of dificid on Friday and yesterday the cramps lasted longer. Today I’ve had cramps all morning and I’ve been on the toilet. I think it’s back, there is still some liquid.

To be honest I was away last week and days 7-10 on the antibiotic, I became a bit more careless about my diet.

I don’t know if that caused this recurrence, or it would’ve happened anyway, I do have Crohn’s.

Now I’m asking my dr for a refill - what has been helpful? I see sometimes they prescribe another 10 day course (200 mg twice a day) and other times they prescribe 5 days at 200 mg twice a day, then a taper across 20 days (every other day).

Any insights are appreciated, these cramps are killing me!!
