I noticed that the serial number on my gas metre and what was on my bill was different. I raised this issue with British Gas in October 2025. I did a burn test to ensure that the metre I was looking at was definitely for my property, which it was. It seems that the serial numbers from my flat and the flat two floors below have somehow been switched (it's a new build). I have been submitting my metre readings manually according to the number I see on my actual metre (The smart metre doesn't work - another thing that needs to be fixed).

I have emailed and called countless times and the issue still is not fixed. All they respond with is that they are working on it. And every time I call its the same person reading the exact same script on the phone. Is there anything else I can do?
