AD01 Retrospective: 1,071 tournaments, 4,176 players, head-to-head data
Hey all, I'm the creator of DigiLab, a community-driven tournament tracker for the Digimon TCG. With AD01 winding down and BT25 dropping next week, I wanted to share what we saw across the format thanks to everyone who submitted events.
The headline numbers:
- 1,071 tournaments across 23 countries
- 4,176 unique players
- 7,710 individual match results, roughly 1 in 3 of every match played across the format, and the most complete head-to-head sample we've ever had!
Two angles on "best deck of the format":
- By total wins: Time Strangers engine decks rans away with 177 firsts, more than double anyone else
- By weighted score (shrunk for sample size): Millenniummon is #1, despite being only the 12th most-played deck. Small dedicated pilot pool doing more with less.
Other findings:
- TS held #1 every single week. Medusamon was #2 most of the format; Imperialdramon and Shinegreymon each briefly grabbed the slot.
- TS vs Medusamon was the most-played matchup of the format. TS took it clearly.
- NA, SA, and EU all crowned Time Strangers. Asia-Pacific is the only region where Imperialdramon edges TS (small sample but a consistent lean).
- Five fan-favorite decks that were near-irrelevant in EX11 climbed into the top tier on AD01's support.

If anyone wants to dig into a specific deck, region, or matchup that didn't make the post, drop it below would love to know what other stats might be intersesting to players! And a huge thanks to every TO and player who's submitted events for helping put this together!
