The Deepest Castle is a retro-inspired action slasher about a knight exploring a dark fortress ruled by necromancers.
The game focuses on fast, close-range melee combat: reading enemy movesets, raising your shield at the right moment, dodging deadly attacks, and landing precise counter-hits.
Each failed run sends the knight back to the beginning, but discovered weapons and artifacts remain unlocked. The fortress is filled with hidden rooms, rare gear, magic items, destructible objects, and dangerous undead warriors who have spent centuries mastering combat.
The goal is to capture the raw, crunchy feel of early 3D PC games from the 90s, but with tight, skill-based melee gameplay.
