I’m dealing with a strange refund issue with Qatar Airways Holidays and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced something similar.
Timeline:
16 March: Flights were auto-cancelled. Received email confirming refund was initiated.
4 April: I started seeing a pending refund of full amount in my bank account.
The pending transaction stayed there for over a week, then suddenly disappeared completely.
I found a Reddit post suggesting to wait, so I did.
24 April: Received email from TUI Spain with the Tax invoice saying -4200 AUD (assuming this means refund).
As of now: No refund has actually been credited, and nothing is showing in my account.
I contacted my bank, and they said they cannot see any refund transaction at all as yet.
At this point, I’m very confused.
Has anyone had a similar experience with Qatar Airways Holidays refunds?
How long did it take for the actual money to arrive?
Should I take some action? Any advice would be appreciated.
This is a large amount, so getting a bit concerned now.
