[GTA] M28, 9yr Clean Record – Being quoted $550/month for 2026 Model 3 in Brampton. Any advice?

Hey everyone,
I’m looking for some advice from fellow GTA Tesla owners. I just ordered a 2026 Tesla Model 3 Premium, and the insurance quotes I’m getting are giving me serious sticker shock.
The Situation:
Location: Brampton (Postal Code L6P area).
Current Quote: $550/month (around $6,600/year).
Bundle: This price actually includes a bundle discount with my home insurance.
History: I’m coming from a Kia where I was paying about $3,000/year. I expected a jump for a Tesla, but doubling the premium feels extreme, even for Brampton.

I’ve already checked Allstate, Cooperators, but they seem really high on Teslas right now.
A few questions for the group:

  1. For those in Brampton or high-rate areas like Vaughan/Mississauga, who are you insured with?
  2. Has anyone had success with the Tesla/Aviva (InsureMyTesla) program recently?
  3. Are there any specific brokers in the GTA who "get" EVs and can find better rates than the big name direct insurers?
I love the car, but paying $550/month just for the privilege of driving it in L6P is painful. Any tips on specific providers or discounts I should be asking for would be massively appreciated!
