I'm a student studying computer science among other subjects at the moment and for the computer science course, we must create a project. My idea has been to create a strategy game similar to those of the Paradox games, almost like a second Imperator Rome.

I have been a major fan of the game and played for quite a while but it would be very helpful if I could get some community opinions about the game to inform on my own project. Responses can be as long or short as you like, thank you!

  1. What do you think are the main reasons Imperator Rome didn't quite keep much popularity after it's initial release?

  2. What do you think have been the best improvements made to the game since release? (either by Paradox or Invictus)

  3. What changes would you currently make to the game to improve playing experience?

  4. What parts of the game do you think are the most successful/rewarding?

  5. What parts of the game do you think are the least successful/frustrating?
