I’m trying to disassemble and move this pair of big IKEA units (I’m pretty sure they’re Kallaxes), but it appears the previous owner has glued the two together (at the join in the third picture) so that I can’t lift the top one off. There’s not enough room below the ceiling to get at the screws that hold it together up there.

Ideally I’d like to know how to get them apart at the glued joint so that I can keep them intact, but failing that, I’ll take any other suggestions to get them out without risking damaging the rest of the room.

I think they’re sealed to the floor too, but I’ll cross that bridge when I can get the top one off (since together they won’t fit through the door anyway.

Any good ideas?
