I’m gonna be real; most of you aren’t hearing Warzone the way you should.

Footsteps are there, they’re just getting buried by bad tuning.

I’ve been dialing this in pretty heavily, so if you drop your headset below I’ll send back EQ settings that make footsteps way easier to pick up.

I’ll be going through these for the next 24hrs.

No catch, just want to show what the game actually sounds like when it’s set up right.

EDIT:
Didn’t expect this many headsets to come through, appreciate all of you dropping them.

I’m working through these in order and will get to everyone who commented within the first 24 hours (cutoff: May 5th, 6PM CT).

After that I’ll still try to help where I can, but responses might be a bit slower.

Also seeing a lot of repeats; I’ll probably turn the most common ones into presets so people can just grab them instead of waiting.

2nd Edit:

I am only Human and need some sleep lol, I will keep track at cut off time, everyone who comments before the deadline will get their tune, I promise.

3rd Edit:

This took off way more than I expected and it’s going to take me a bit longer to get to everyone.

I’ll still reply with your tune directly here, just might be a little delayed.

If you want something to try in the meantime, I can point you in the right direction for a solid baseline.

4th Edit:

24hr mark is up, appreciate everyone who dropped their headsets

Everyone who commented within that 24hr window will be getting their tune; I’m working through them now.

This was mainly a 24hr run, but I might do another one soon since this took off more than I expected.

If you’re looking to dial things in further, I can point you in the right direction for a solid starting point.

Also seeing some solid tweaks in the comments, so definitely test things and adjust to what works best for you.

5th Edit:

Tons of requests coming in, so I’m working through these in order, everyone from the first 24h is getting covered. If I missed yours, just bump it or reach out; trying to make sure everyone gets taken care of. Appreciate you guys working with me.

Been messing around with EQ tuning for FPS games and noticed most people are running pretty bad setups without realizing it.

A lot of budget headsets actually aren’t terrible, they’re just tuned wrong, which is why footsteps get buried and everything sounds muddy.

If anyone wants, drop your headset + game and I’ll help you dial in a better EQ for footsteps, positioning, etc.

Curious to see what setups people are running.

After a few hours on Season 03 Reloaded, the game already feels a bit different.

The biggest thing I’m noticing is how fights are playing out:

  • Close range feels faster, SMGs are melting if you get caught first
  • Mid-range feels more controlled, recoil + consistency matter more
  • Sniping feels a bit less forgiving unless you’re hitting clean shots

Here is a quick breakdown with a TTK score:

Overall it feels like the update pushed the game toward:

  • Faster engagements
  • First-shot advantage
  • Less room for recovery in fights

Curious what everyone else is running?

Quick audio tip as always:

10-Band EQ (Footstep / Clarity Focus)

  • 31 Hz → -5
  • 62 Hz → -4
  • 125 Hz → -3
  • 250 Hz → -2
  • 500 Hz → -1
  • 1 kHz → +1
  • 2 kHz → +3
  • 4 kHz → +5
  • 8 kHz → +4
  • 16 kHz → +2

Cuts some of the low-end noise and makes footsteps/movement easier to pick up. Not perfect for every headset, but it’s been solid so far.
