Not asking for DIY advice, just how this is possible?

I just found (and killed) about 50+ of these guys on our paver patio. They didn’t have wings and were running in pairs. Some were wandering aimlessly but a lot of them seemed drawn to our patio door and sliding doors and tried to get into the house. I sprinkled some diatomaceous earth outside along those entry points.

Does this mean we have a subterranean nest somewhere in our yard? We’ve always had termite treatment in our ~5 year old house and just had the exterior spray done a month ago! Location: north Florida

I just found (and killed) about 50+ of these guys on our paver patio. Almost all of them were in pairs and the singletons were waving their butts in the air. Some were wandering aimlessly but most of them were going toward the patio door. There's a small crack in the wood on the door frame and a few entered it. Maybe 6 made it inside that door and the sliding glass door, but I am positive I killed them all.

The house is only around 5 years old, we bought it with termite coverage and we've kept up with termite coverage. In fact, we just had our inspection and preventative treatment a month or two ago.

A few posts I saw here said that swarmers might not necessarily mean an infestation? Should I call our termite company? Should I sprinkle diatomaceous earth at that patio door crack?
