Attended LA Taco’s Taco Madness yesterday. Nice day out and great venue. Some expected long lines, but it was still fun to try out different vendors without driving out. Was able to cross a few things of the list!

  1. Tire Shop Taqueria’s Asada: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, This is what a taco is about. Perfect TJ style taco. No notes
  2. Evil Cooks’ Green Chorizo Verde: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, delicious, almost tangy salsa in the best way. Chicharron nice touch.
  3. Tacos Los Cholos’ Ribeye: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, Yummy, juicy, savory ribeye cut. Salsa and avocado went great with the natural char of the

ribeye. Felt and tasted like summer at the park grilling with your friends :)

Missed the mark:
4. LA Sorted’s tri-tip: love LA sorted, love the pizza, loved the frontera x la sorted al pastor pizza, but this one missed the mark today. Didn’t care too much for the way the meat tasted and toppings felt/reminded me too much of coleslaw, which I didn’t vibe with personally. Tortilla not my fave as well.

All around great event, great job to the vendors and everyone involved.

Shoutout Tirzah’s + Taqueria Frontera + Sonoratown. Didn’t visit during Taco Madness, but still some of my favorites.

Bummed I didn’t get to try the flautas from Dorados! Line way too long
