I’m feeling pretty devastated after my latest PGT-A results and I’m struggling to process it, so I wanted to share here and ask for others’ experiences.

We’ve just had 4 embryos tested from my second egg retrieval, and all of them have come back as “abnormal,” meaning there’s nothing to transfer. This follows a first round where we had 3 embryos: 2 didn’t implant, and 1 did but ended in a missed miscarriage at around 12 weeks (although development stopped at 7.5 weeks).

I’m finding this process really hard to cope with. I’ve always wanted children and we’ve been trying since I was 32. I’m now 37, and we’ve been doing IVF for nearly a year.

We’re prepared to go through a third egg retrieval, but I won’t pretend it doesn’t feel both exhausting and frightening to keep going.

I guess I’m posting because I’m looking for some hope, if it exists. Did anyone have success after two or more retrievals? How many rounds did it take before things worked for you? And if you’ve been through similar results, did you ever find answers or was it just persistence?

I’m also scared there might be something seriously wrong, and I’m not sure how common this pattern is.
