Just picked up my new (to me) ride, which still has the stock seat. For those who have tried both, what's your Seat Concepts preference? Comfort or Commuter? I'll be using it for my daily commute which is a half hour each way on the highway, plus weekend bush riding.
I looked at a 2014 bike and the front sprocket was held on the shaft by a circular spring clip instead of the factory bolts. The shaft had a groove machined into it for the clip to seat in. It looked like the sprocket was a higher tooth count than original but I don't know why they would go with a spring clip instead of bolts. The guy selling it says the work was done at a reputable shop, but he doesn't have any details about why its configured that way as it was the previous owner who had it done. Has anyone seen a setup like this before? Should I run from this?
