I have a V1 gen1, hooked up thru a cig lighter cord. After eight years, the cord is not working (I've confirmed it's the cord, and not the V1 or power source). Before I order a new one, is there anything I can check on the cord that might fix it? The cord is in perfect shape, no tears or loose wires, etc.

I drive a lot of hwy miles, and it's incredible how blind I feel without one.
