Post surgery blood clot?

Had my surgery on Wednesday and recovery has been rough. However, yesterday I went for a “big walk” and I have been trying to be as mobile as I can post surgery. By walking around the house often and go and up and down the stairs when I need the toilet.

Today I woke up with right leg cramps. They feel like shooting pains and hurt mostly when I move my leg. Its not quite on my calf, its around my muscle. The pain radiates from my ankle around my calf muscle and hurts behind my knee.

Both my legs look the exact same. No discoloured skin, no redness or warmth. There is some swelling around both my ankles since surgery but I have heard its normal.

Now I am freaking I have a blood clot. My mum previously had one years ago due to her foot surgery and has scared me so much!! I have also got really bad health anxiety. My family is saying to call my hospital but honestly i am scared they will say I need further tests and they come back positive for a blood clot. I have been crying all day because of this and getting myself in a panic.

Has anyone experienced this?

Post surgery fat intake

I had my surgery on Wednesday and yesterday I had my first proper meal. It did contain olive oil and it made me feel so unwell after eating.

How long after surgery did you manage to eat fatty foods?

I finally had my surgery yesterday and will post how it went on a separate post but wanted some advice for now.

In the hospital I had really bad acid reflux and they gave me liquid gaviscon. Gaviscon is normally amazing at treating my acid reflux but unfortunately didn’t work. They eventually sent me home and I got home I had the worst acid reflux EVER. It was burning my throat sooo much and causing so much pain. I tried gaviscon tablets and pepto bismol and neither helped. After googling it, it seems that it could be bile reflux?

I did try to eat some bread to see if it would help but it also didnt.

Any advice on what I could do to ease the pain? Or how to treat it?

I am in the UK.

After suffering for nearly a month of constant attacks that led me to A&E and being admitted into hospital a couple times with no surgery in the future through NHS I decided to go private.

I googled the best surgeon in this field and booked a consultation. He managed to fit me in next Wednesday. Which I was so relieved about. I am at the point where I cannot eat anything without triggering an attack. I have been surviving off jelly for the last 2 weeks and I am so weak and feel so unwell. Everyday is agonising. I dont think I ever cried this much in my life. I feel like I am dying everyday. To not even mention how much weight I have lost. I barely recognise myself.

Surgery feels like a light at the end of a tunnel. However, I have never had surgery or put under general anaesthetic before. I am quite an anxious person and hospitals and needles and operations are the worst for me. So I am extremely scared of the surgery. Especially as my partner wont be able to be with me before I go to sleep and when I wake up. I am honestly scared of not waking up. But I also know this will literally make my life so much better.

If you could leave some nice words to put my mind at ease I would be so grateful!
