I own and rent out a small property that makes ~9k annually. Last year I moved to Canada on an IEC, and didn't think about/didn't know about the non-resident landlord scheme. I run my property independently so do not have a letting agent, and my tenant has not been withholding any rent from me.

In filing my taxes this year I realized that under UK law I have not been a resident of the UK, however I have been letting my property as if I have been.

What is my best way forward in this situation? I am a UK citizen.
