K1 Refused Status IV to NIV
I had my interview in December 2025 and received a 221(g) because I needed to send a police certificate from abroad, which I had not received at the time. My CEAC status showed “Refused.”
I sent the police certificate in February. Six days later, the consulate called me and requested a new medical report. So I redid the medical exam, renewed my passport, and sent both to the consulate in early April.
Since then, the case update date changed on April 14, April 16, and April 21. On April 16, it was still showing under the Immigrant Visa category, but on April 21, the case creation date also changed, and the category changed from Immigrant to Nonimmigrant. However, the status remained “Refused.”
Has anyone gone through the same process? Please let me know what you think.
