Companion Advice

Hello!

Made a post recently about my baby boy passing and what to do for my surviving keet. TLDR old age got to one of them now I have one.

Went to bird specialty store, lady said no to a companion because my keet is a feisty one, not super tame, and would need time to grieve before even thinking about getting another one, which she seemed to highly discourage and went so far to say that I should be cautious ever adding another keet to the cage again. This contradicts like everything I’ve read and know from online that they need a friend because while I spend time with him quite often, I feel like do not have enough dedicated time for me to be his primary companion since he is typically confined to my office space since I have a dog.

Any thoughts on this? Should I just increase my time as much as possible with him? Or should I move forward with new keets???

Well one of my babies passed.. advice?

An hour ago I found one of my babies dead :( it was a long time coming due to age and slowly slowing down but I thought he had longer. Now I’m concerned for my other baby. Any advice on how to proceed? I’m thinking about getting two others tomorrow, but this is new territory for me. I want to make sure my other budgie still remains happy and healthy. Any suggestions, words of caution, anything?
