Here are various shots done with my iPhone 16 and minimal editing. Photos 4 and 5 are views of Diamond Head, viewed from the northeast, 720 feet in elevation where I was standing (photo 5). Shot 9 shows the shell of a land snail. While taking a few empty shells from the islands with you is technically permitted, (it’s not illegal like removing sand, rocks, or coral) however, it is considered bad Hawaiian karma to do so, or to remove anything natural. I left it alone. The yellow hibiscus in the last pic is Hawaii’s state flower and you see them all over the place.
