Last night, I was playing FACEIT with my friends when we got matched against a team of 5 Turkish players, all with around 200 matches. I will share all the evidence with you.
During the game, they started losing and began insulting us in Turkish chat. Since we were focused on winning and also wanted to avoid getting banned, we only responded with simple phrases like “gg ez.”
After the match, one of them seriously wrote in chat that he would get us banned. This is also visible in the tweet he later shared himself. At the time, I didn’t take it seriously because I knew I hadn’t done anything that would justify a ban.
The next day, a friend sent me a post from X (Twitter) where my name was mentioned. The post had around 11K interactions, meaning many people saw it and started reporting without questioning anything. The tweet basically said “find these four players” and included screenshots of our “gg ez” messages.
This person took those screenshots and posted them on X. He is also an admin of large CS2 Turkey community pages, so he has a significant amount of influence. He barely even plays FACEIT (around 140 matches), yet he is using his reputation to damage other players.
Then the next day, I found out I had received a 7-day ban, clearly resulting from that match. He essentially shared our profiles publicly, which led to mass reporting and an unfair ban.
I did nothing that should result in a ban. This is a serious injustice. Who knows how many other players he may have done this to using the same method?
I have been playing this game for 15 years, my FACEIT account is from 2015, and I have over 2500 matches. This is the first time I have ever experienced something like this.
This situation needs to be addressed so that other players do not suffer the same unfair treatment. I have already submitted the necessary tickets regarding my ban, but the main issue here is preventing this kind of abuse of influence.
This is a serious matter and should not be ignored.
