I am trying to setup two NVRs so that they are both connected to the same internet connection, however I keep running into issues that I can't seem to solve no matter what I try.
We have two NVRs that we want to connect to one TMobile router. The router has two LAN ports, so initially I tried just connecting both NVRs to the router through the LAN ports but that didn't work, so then I tried introducing a PoE switch, connecting the NVRs to that, and THEN sending that to the router, but that didn't seem to work either.
Everything seems to be routed correctly, all the lights that need to be on are on, etc... but the problem arises when I try to connect the cameras into the back of the NVRs. Even with everything routed correctly, I still get "video loss" messages in the Reolink app, and just generally I seem to be getting no feed from the cameras, even when all the lights on all the ports and everything are on and it seems like I SHOULD be getting signal.
My guess is that this is some sort of network/software issue, and not a hardware one. I checked to see if the NVRs have different IPs and as far as I'm aware, they do.
We've had both of these NVRs in our office for some time, but because we shared the building with another company just recently moved out, each NVR was on its own separate Internet - one at the front of the building and one at the back. Now though, it's just us in the building and we got to keep both NVRs and all the cameras, and we want to consolidate them both to one internet. We want to bring the back of house NVR and internet router to the front, with the other NVR, but thats where the issues are. When I connect the NVRs to the router in the front office, pretty much no signal is received. Through internet (though HDMI connections still work, so I know that signal IS being sent).
The other weird thing is that when I take the back-of-house router and NVR BACK to where they had originally been set up and I set them back up the way they were, everything works normally! Cameras get signal and everything.
I feel like I've tried everything, and idk what to do! Would really appreciate some help with this matter.
