Wow! I never expected my post to blow up so much! Also never expected such a unanimous reaction in favour to the bald version!
I’d dealt with bullying for most of my schooling life due to being born with a cleft palate and being hearing impaired. Have had numerous operations to fix, but those scars yet still remain it seems. So there would be an element of hiding behind the saving grace that was my golden locks…

Anyhoo, true to my word I visited my barber this morning and after your overwhelming love and support, I actually feel really good about it.

I’m so thankful for this experience and all of you, that I might just keep it this way.

So been on the fence lately on whether to keep, get a buzzcut or go bald. My dad and his 5 brothers are all bald. It seems the fastest swimmers are destined to become the most aerodynamically streamlined…

I’ve tried finasteride and minoxidil - massive depression and loss of libido while also gaining nearly 10kgs within 4 months until I stopped. Have also tried Novamane, following instructions to a T, for nearly a year and I feel like it’s just gotten worse.

Might do a hair transplant in turkey in a year or two but in the meantime, it’s taking too much mental space and confidence. Been wearing a hat daily for the last 2yrs to hide it.

What’s your thoughts? Bonus points if you’re a woman as I’m single and want to know if I’m minimising my chances to share love with someone, skinhead or not.
