low hanging fruit like APOC isn't allowed for sake of repetitive discussion.

I think Persephone not showing up for Hades was fucking diabolical for not making her show up in the God's crowd, and just being an attack name. Leo not tying into his design at all sucked ass too for me.

I made a post giving my thoughts on the manga situation as well as the activity on the sub, so what gives? I've seen loads of people talking about how ass APOC has been, and I'm not sure what rule I'm breaking.

non agenda posting I feel like the manga has been okay, but ever since Leo got bodied and Qin has been MIA, the writing took a massive hit and I got the impression the authors wanted to finish the story as fast as possible.

This is going to be a bit controversial but I think for anyone that was here since day one, or Posedion days, the manga was such a fucking vibe. You felt like the community of dipshit manga fans were actually coming together and enjoying this really new and interesting take on the tournament fighter manga, and It felt like a niche interest as people in the larger manga community dismissed the manga for various reasons, so there was this really strong community aspect and people constantly coming up with theories as to what Hades was going to do, if Persoaphone was going to show up (sexist author theory), how shocked people were Adamas was back, etc.

Ever since Leo got bodied, I feel like the writing has been utter dogshit. I don't understand why Kintoki got this massive backstory and Odin's lore coming out with the most painfully boring story. out there. if you enjoy it, great. but for Leo and Apollo we got jackshit, Loki had an abysmal backstory and fans of him were just "damn that's fucking it?" Simo didn't really get explored at all and we don't get much of his personality, and I could go on.

Then comes APOC, and do I even need to say it? A hyped up character getting bodied by a literal fraudster swordsman, the character designs being fucking abysmal, and the writing and art being the most horrible we've seen in the series yet. With most of the oldheads in the community being longsince gone, it's been dire. Literally everyone knows how the story is going to end. Kintoki because of plot demanding it is going to die, hopefully Rasputin and Nostra are interesting, then something something Odin summons the gods, humanity pervails and the series is over. Among similiar issues with Chainsaw man, why did I even bother getting invested with this shit if everything is so flat?

tldr: I miss when stuff was unpredictable and the writing was more cared about. I miss when we had hard hitting backstories that either expanded the lore or helped make you care about the personalities.

edit: also with any discussion, people are free to disagree. If you can enjoy the manga I am very happy for you. but I've never seen a ongoing manga subreddit this dead. back in the day Qin vs Hades was going fucking platinum on social media, in the sub, the discord (before the great exodus), everywhere. It's the most beloved chapter of the manga for very great reason. I have not seen anything like that since.
