In a previous post, I asked for help figuring out names for locations in a low fantasy, fictional equivalent of Ireland. After much advice and research, here's what I decided on:

  • The main cities include: Seanbhaile, Mullinport, Tír Mhór/Tirmore, Holtcorry, and Dúnangall. Dúnangall isn't supposed to be grammatically correct, but rather a gag city based on the real-life county Donegal. Holtcorry is similar to IRL Londonderry in terms of its name origin, to explain its prefix.
  • These people call themselves the "Clann Locha" ('people/family of the lake', I believe?) but outsiders recognize them as "Clanlockers". It's supposed to be an oral-to-paper direct anglicization of the Irish pronounciation, but I'm not sure if I got that pronounciation right.

These names come from internet research and some help from Irish students (students, not native speakers!) so I understand if conjugations are wrong or if a word seems 'off'. I'd love any feedback. Thank you!
