I'm a FTM to an almost 7 week old baby. Since the very beginning we've struggled with breastfeeding due to latch issues that caused cracked bleeding angry nipples. I stopped breastfeeding for a few days to allow my nipples to heal and in that time we introduced formula. As soon as my nipples healed, we then went back to breastfeeding under the guidance of lactation specialists and that went on for 3 weeks, then suddenly again my nipples went back to how they were and this time I gave formula + pumped milk and I also breastfeed but maybe once a day while I work on healing my nipples.

Lately breastfeeding directly has been minimal as my daughter struggles to latch (contacted a new lactation consultant and waiting for a home visit) and ive been putting a lot of effort to pump more so we can stop formula totally.

But I cant help but wonder, what am I even good for as a mother if im unable to breastfeed my daughter? Anything else I offer her anyone can do for her... so what even am I good for?
