(Idk if the flair is right for this post, I apologize if I’m supposed to use a different one) This peace lily (that’s what it is according to ChatGPT and my comparisons to photos online) was left in the library of my college for free, it was kind of wilted when I got it, I cleaned it up and watered it and left it by a window and it’s doing a lot better. I’ve had it from maybe two months now? These photos are from this morning so it seems to be doing well. I’ve been wondering if I should try to trim out those kind of dead, straw-like pieces at the bottom. It doesn’t seem to be affecting the health of the plant too much, but I’m assuming it might prevent it from growing much larger if I leave them indefinitely. I should probably also repot at some point soon.
But yeah, just wondering what impact leaving those parts on might have, how important it it to trim that part, should I trim, etc.
