My groomer canceled on me
First, absolutely no shade to my groomer, he only canceled because he broke his hand. I’m only here to get help and advice on how to effectively get through this dense fur.
This is my 11yo border collie/husky mix. With memorial weekend coming up, me and my family (including her) are going to the lake where we’ll be outside in the heat and sun for extended periods. She’s a boat princess- aka she likes being included but not in the water.
Any tips on how to get at least the majority of this shed off of her? I have a slicker brush and one of the deshedding brushes that have the thick metal hooks(open to getting different brushes if need be, I don’t want her suffering in this heat). I have the ability to bathe her and have a deshedding shampoo for her but i have never been able to actually get all of her shed out myself.
