Popular steam card farming tools used for phishing?
I noticed a few new bot invites today and decided to check their profiles for fun.
This is when I noticed the bots both were in huge steam group with 5 Million members.
At first, I fought that would be pretty stupid to make your bots detectable that way, but it turns out to be a legit steam card farming group.
As I was browsing the tools capabilities on GitHub, I came across an interesting discussion
were a user asked for help on implementing automated CS2 trades (Counter Strike skins are high value targets for phishing attacks) but got shut down because they obviously asked AI chatbots to implement it which failed, apparently.
Surely I'm not the first to have noticed this, so I'm wondering if there are any nice write-ups or videos out there that go into the details of this. Also, I'm wondering if steam card farming will be around for much longer if it is so easy to modify them for malicious purposes now and whether we set up rules to automatically block friend requests from certain steam groups.
