Based on iNaturalist this lil critter is a kind of Cherry Milipede called a Euryurus evides. I found it out in a nature park in Eastern Iowa.

Don’t worry. I didn’t wake the poor critter up or try to touch them. I left them right after I snapped some photos. Not with flash btw. As a reminder try to avoid using flash with animals (especially nocturnal ones). My group kept our visit brief and left the bat to nap in peace after the photos.
