My baby has been exclusively breastfed for 11 months and exclusively nursed for 7 because she started refusing bottles at 4 months. She doesn’t eat purses or solids. Sometimes she will eat strawberry & yogurt frozen in her hakaa feeder. She also bit my pita chips (but I had to take it away obviously) & my dark chocolate peanut butter cups (again took it out of her mouth). Rarely I can force baby cereal into her mouth if she laughs while eating. I have tried a lot of things. Eggs (3 ways), soft muffins, bananas (mashed and cut the long way), baby cereal, sweet potato and ground beef, steak strips, purees, yogurt mixes, EVERYTHING. She wants no part of it.
She also uses my breast to fall asleep at night & wakes up 5-8 times to eat/soothe back to sleep. I don’t drop the night feeds because she barely eats solids and I don’t want her to have a nutrition gap but I’m also worried that she’s not going to learn this to herself back to sleep. Developmentally & growth wise she’s on track, but if anyone has tips, advice or a kind word, I’d love to hear them! Thanks!
