Vaginal hysterectomy experiences and potential complications please

I finally had my post op appointment following hysteroscopy with biopsy and unable to perform ablation. Uterus was too patchy (thin and then thicker) in different areas for ablation and my cervix over dilated. We discussed trying again to do an ablation, trying new medication or going straight to hysterectomy. I've been on BCP and IUDs since I was a teen and none of them have helped with the constant irregular bleeding and horrible cramping with or without bleeding. I didn't want to try again and potentially not being able to do the ablation again so I opted for hysterectomy. I've already had my tubes removed with my last c section child. She said it would be vaginal hysterectomy. I couldn't think of anything to ask at the time but now I'm worried about adhesions to other organs and how that works with a vaginal hysterectomy. I haven't been diagnosed with adhesions but I've read a lot of people only finding out during surgery but always abdominal or laproscopic. I can't find any stories on vaginal hysterectomy with adhesions. My surgery isn't for months and I'm going to drive myself crazy with worry and questions. They said they'd answer questions and go over more at my pre op appointment but that's only 2 weeks before my surgery so months away. Anyone else have vaginal hysterectomy experience and were there complications? Can they safely separate the organs if they're adhered when it's just in the vagina or will they need to change to open? Is changing to open even on option mid surgery? Any experiences and advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've always had horrible periods and Middle cycle bleeding. Used birth control since a teen unless I was trying to get pregnant. I have 3 kids and already had my tubes removed with the birth of my last one. IUDs don't work. Bcp don't work anymore to stop the bleeding. I'm 36 , done having kids and tired of randomly bleeding though my clothes nowhere near what would be period time. I have horrible cramps randomly without bleeding and then bleeding most of the month with or without cramps. Can't be intimate with husband without bleeding. Even being aroused can start me bleeding without internal stimulation. I finally found a gyno who actually investigated what's going on thanks to reddit posts. Turns out I have polyps. She told me to stop bcp and gave me a prescription for Megace about 3 weeks ago to take until the surgery. I was scheduled for hysteroscopy with polyp removal and hydrothermal ablation. Went under anesthesia yesterday and when I woke up they said the biopsy went well but the ablation wasn't possible. Dr notes from surgery says "portions of atrophic versus unstable endometrium throughout". She tried 3 times but from what I think her notes mean is my uterus is too thin in random areas. Dr talked to my husband while I was still out but he's from another country and all he could tell me is she said we had other options. I've got a post op appointment in 2 weeks to discuss things. Anyone else have an unstable uterus that couldn't do ablation? Is it just the hydrothermal ablation that can't be done? Do I have other ablation options with an unstable uterus or are we going to go straight to hysterectomy? I'm going to go insane waiting to find out what my other options are and what the biopsy says. Uterine cancer runs in the family so I'm anxious to find out the results. Has anyone had similar experiences and what was the end solution? Thanks for any shared experiences or advice.
