I want to preface that I don't do much AI chatbotting as is, and pretty much only used Deepseek V3 0324 (loved it) via Chutes since EA last summer. After Chutes removed EA, everyone was recommending the offical Deepseek source (for 3.2 and affordability) so I signed up.
But for some reason, 3.2 felt very... stale to me during chats. It lacked that character and vibrancy from V3 that I liked so much. It would do things like repeat, word for word, what I said in my own message and it felt too formal. I tried a bunch of custom prompts from Reddit and Discord, tweaked settings and temp but it never felt like V3.
Now with 4.0 (Pro), I'll admit it is slightly better than 3.2, but even so, it still feels very flat to me, repeats what I say alot and every charcter feels the same, from chat to chat. I wanted to know if this is an issue others have ran into, as I don't see much talk of offical Deepseek on here or Discord.
I've no intention of moving to somewhere like Openrouter, as AI chatbotting isn't really a hobby for me, just something to endulge in now and then. How can I make offical Deepseek enjoyable?
