Today I made my first toast loaf and it was soo good! I used the 2nd version of the ‚Grant bakes‘ recipe.
Ingredients:
110g active starter
200g water
50g milk
25g butter
10g maple Sirup
10g salt
450g Manitoba flour (15.5g protein)
Process:
- Mix all ingredients together
- Knead for 8 min until a firm ball forms
- Bulk ferment for approx. 3.5h
- Preshape and let rest for 15 min
- Shape and add to tin
- Second rise until doubled (didn’t picture it)
- Preheat oven to 205C
- bake for 20 min with lid on
- bake for 20 min with lid off
- take out of tin and cool for 1.5h
