My FIL wants my wife to take ownership of a speeding ticket. Thoughts?

Some context:
My wife: Polish, living in the UK with polish driving license.
My father in law: polish, living in Poland with polish driving license.
My FIL recently received a speeding ticket that'd add 9 points to his license. He currently doesn't have any points on it but he needs the car for work, so he's keen to keep a clean record.
He's asking my wife to say that she was the one driving the car and take the hit (he'd still pay for the ticket himself, ofc).
My wife doesn't really drive much in the UK or Europe, so this won't be an issue. We don't even own a car, we just use rentals for holidays.
She was actually thinking of exchanging the polish license for the British later this year.
A couple questions I have:
- she was not in Poland the day of the ticket. Is there any chance that'll eventually come up as fraud?
- does anyone know if the points would carry over to her UK license if she exchanges within 12 months?
- any other considerations I'm missing?
She's inclined to do it.
