Dungeon Crawler Carl book Club meeting at FableRealm Sunday (2-4)

Hello Crawlers!

If you are as excited about the book 8 release as we are we are hosting two upcoming events you’re going to love 💗

  1. Friday 6-7 we will be on the discord discussing heat 1 and everything before it. If you’re 88 pages in and want to talk about your initial thoughts come on over 🏎️

  2. Sunday 2-4: recap of books 1-7, discussion, and DCC games at FableRealm.

* We will talk about major events in all the books 1-7 (a good recap if it has been a while since you last read the books)

* We will go over all our unanswered questions and talk about what we want in book 8

* We will play DCC trivia as well as one other DCC themed game

Before the meeting: FableRealm is offering 10% off any book at their store if you go to the book club meeting. There is a ton of dedicated parking for the store and everything inside is full of whimsy. If you didn’t get to see it on the Tulsa book tour this is a great opportunity ✨

After the Meeting (4-5): didn’t get to talk about everything in the meeting? At 4 we’re going to walk to the other end of the store and grab a scoop of ice cream. If you just want to come out, see the store, and be social for an hour feel free to stop by even if you didn’t make it to the meeting! 🍨

There is a link to rsvp below. You don’t have to sign up but it makes sure we save a seat for you ⭐️ Everyone is welcome.

Below is an excerpt from an article at the popverse.com Guides by Chris Arrant, Editor-in-Chief

Published on Fri May 01 2026

If there's not a Hallmark holiday card for Free Comic Book Day 2026, there should be.

For 24 years now, Free Comic Book Day has been a special day where fans can walk into almost any comic book store in the United States and Canada and walk out with free comics... and not stuff on discount, but the greatest hits and upcoming specials that the likes of Marvel, DC, and others want people to try out. It's not just any comic they have there, but over 40 specially-published free comics just for you.

Free Comic Book Day was originally created by California comics retailer Joe Field, and in the 24 years since its debut, it has grown quickly, becoming a staple event on the comics calendar with over 2,000 comic stores in North America participating, giving out on average over five million comics each year.

If you want free comics, May 2 is the day for Free Comic Book Day 2026 and its new unofficial sister event, Comics Giveaway Day (more on that in a second). The key thing for you to know is on Saturday, May 2 you should call your friends, remind your family, and go to your local comic stores for a day of browsing your local comic store, spending some money, and walking out with armfuls of stuff to spend your day/weekend/month catching up on.
